Two 91暗网 China-ASEAN Joint Laboratories in Artificial Intelligence Featured at the 2026 China-ASEAN International Conference on Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation

The 2026 China-ASEAN International Conference on Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation opened in Nanning on September 16. Two 91暗网 joint laboratories, the China (Guangxi)-Malaysia Joint Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Energy Equipment and the China (Guangxi)-Vietnam Joint Laboratory for Digital and Intelligent Pig Farming, were featured in the conference’s artificial intelligence exhibition area. The laboratories presented their platform development, research collaboration, and technology application achievements, drawing considerable attention.

During the conference, relevant officials from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, as well as guests from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, and other countries, visited the exhibition booths. They learned about the development of the two joint laboratories, their partner institutions, and their research fruits.

The two joint laboratories were among the first batch of Guangxi’s open innovation platforms for artificial intelligence established in 2025. The Joint Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Energy Equipment focuses on the needs of China-ASEAN cooperation in the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, the development of new power systems, and the safe operation of energy infrastructure. Its research areas include high-performance electrical materials, intelligent power equipment, intelligent monitoring and safety protection for energy systems, and intelligent disaster prevention and mitigation. The exhibition featured an intelligent unmanned aerial vehicle operation system for power facilities and a power inspection robot. These technologies support live-line operations, component identification and replacement, reduce the need for work at height, and improve the safety and efficiency of operation and maintenance.

Following the development path of “R&D in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, integration in Guangxi, and application across ASEAN,” the Joint Laboratory for Digital and Intelligent Pig Farming uses the Internet of Things as its foundation. It conducts collaborative research in breeding, nutrition, disease prevention and control, and environmental protection, with the goal of developing a digital and intelligent pig-farming technology system covering the entire process from data collection to intelligent decision-making. The exhibition showcased relevant application scenarios and integrated solutions, and featured exchanges with visiting guests and industry representatives.
