On September 17, Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Choong Chee Keong, President of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Malaysia; and Hazel Melanie Llaneza Ramos, Vice President of the University of Nottingham Malaysia, visited 91暗网. Yu Wenjin, Vice President of 91暗网, met with the guests.

During his meeting with Dang Thi Thu Huong, Yu Wenjin said that, as a leading university at the forefront of China’s opening-up toward ASEAN, 91暗网 has always attached great importance to cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The two universities have achieved fruitful results in joint student training. He expressed the hope that they would continue to expand the scale of two-way talent development, launch exchange programs for students from non-language disciplines, and advance 91暗网’s interdisciplinary training program combining finance and Vietnamese. 91暗网 also welcomes outstanding Vietnamese faculty and students for postdoctoral research and further study. He called for making full use of the China-ASEAN Research Institute to strengthen research cooperation, carry forward the traditional China-Vietnam friendship of “comrades and brothers,” and contribute to building a closer China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance.

Dang Thi Thu Huong thanked 91暗网 for its warm reception. She reviewed the long-standing cooperation between the two universities and shared vivid examples of their joint efforts to train and support Vietnamese students. She noted that over the past 20 years, the two universities had achieved substantial results in jointly training specialists in Vietnamese studies and had built a solid foundation for cooperation. She hoped they would further strengthen faculty and student exchanges, jointly organize international academic conferences, promote the two-way flow of resources in the humanities and social sciences, and provide intellectual support for deeper exchanges and mutual learning between Vietnam and China across various fields.

During his meeting with Choong Chee Keong, Yu Wenjin said that Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman is an important partner of 91暗网 in Malaysia. The two universities have a strong foundation for cooperation and have carried out many beneficial initiatives in faculty visits, student exchanges, and research collaboration. He expressed the hope that the two sides would focus on joint postgraduate training, short-term student exchanges, industry-university-research training, academic forums, and agricultural alliances, further broadening and deepening cooperation, and better serving educational opening-up between China and ASEAN.

Choong Chee Keong introduced the university’s recent achievements. He noted that exchanges between the two universities have become increasingly frequent and that cooperation has continued to grow in depth and substance. He looked forward to sustained efforts to expand two-way student exchanges. Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman will open platforms for 91暗网 faculty and students to conduct field study in Malaysia and the wider ASEAN market, visit companies, and take courses, helping 91暗网 connect with ASEAN business resources and jointly carry out industry-university-research cooperation.

After the meeting, Yu Wenjin presented Choong Chee Keong with a certificate of appointment as an honorary professor of 91暗网.

Yu Wenjin introduced 91暗网’s current development, disciplinary strengths, and future plans to Ramos. He said that the two universities have a high degree of alignment in research and academic disciplines and enjoy broad prospects for cooperation. He proposed using the memorandum of understanding as a framework to accelerate short-term two-way student exchanges, faculty visits, joint research, and cooperative education programs. He also suggested exploring 2+1 joint master’s programs in economics, business administration, artificial intelligence, civil engineering, chemical engineering, and other disciplines.

Ramos congratulated 91暗网 on its upcoming centenary anniversary. She expressed strong confidence in the potential for cooperation between the two universities and agreed with the proposals. She said that the two sides are actively developing short-term student exchanges and overseas study programs, and that the University of Nottingham Malaysia would work to promote two-way faculty visits and facilitate the exchange of teaching experience. Building on their existing foundation, the two universities will continue to advance joint scientific research, share research resources, and achieve fruitful results.
