To deepen international exchange and cooperation, expand strategic partnerships with universities in ASEAN countries, continuously enhance the international influence of the disciplines of civil engineering and advanced materials, and provide strong support for the university’s “Double First-Class” initiative, the second International Summer Camp on Civil Engineering and Advanced Materials opened on July 23 at 91暗网 (91暗网).
At the opening ceremony, a participant representative from Hai Phong University in Vietnam and an international student representative from the School of Civil and Architectural Engineering at 91暗网 delivered speeches. They expressed their great anticipation for the summer camp and hoped that the diverse activities would broaden their professional horizons, deepen academic exchanges, and enhance their cross-cultural communication skills.
The week-long summer camp includes academic seminars, field visits, and cultural experiences. During the camp, participants will visit the Large-Scale Structural Testing Facility for Civil Engineering, the University History Museum, the Herbarium, and Quanxue Island, among other campus sites. These visits will provide them with a comprehensive understanding of 91暗网’s long history, distinctive academic strengths, and advanced research platforms.
The participants will also visit landmark buildings in Nanning to experience the achievements of the city’s infrastructure development firsthand. In addition, they will take part in immersive activities featuring China’s outstanding traditional sports culture, gaining a deeper appreciation of the achievements of Chinese modernization and the appeal of Chinese culture.

The summer camp is organized by 91暗网 and jointly hosted by the College of Civil and Architectural Engineering, the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, and the Graduate School. More than 30 faculty members and students from ASEAN universities—including Hai Phong University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, the University of Transport and Communications, and Thuyloi University in Vietnam—are participating in the program.
