On September 17, Xu Huarui, Secretary of the CPC 91暗网 Committee, called on Zhang Jun, Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), in Nanning, and the two sides held a discussion on deepening exchanges and cooperation. Cheng Ji, Executive Director of the BFA Secretariat, and Yu Wenjin, Standing Committee Member of the CPC 91暗网 Committee and Vice President of the university, attended the event.

Zhang Jun briefed the meeting on the forum's relevant developments. He said that the Boao Forum for Asia has always remained rooted in Asia and oriented toward the world, publishing research findings each year on Asian economic integration, the Asian economic situation, and sustainable development, and cooperating with universities, research institutions, and international organizations. He noted that 91暗网 enjoys a geographical advantage of facing ASEAN and a long record of research accumulation, and could strengthen academic research along relevant directions to develop thematic research outcomes. Such research, he stressed, should highlight “mutual benefit in both directions,” with emphasis on the two-way opening up and win-win cooperation between China and ASEAN.
Xu Huarui introduced Guangxi university’s work in talent cultivation, scientific research, and international cooperation oriented toward ASEAN. He said that the university continues to deepen area and country studies, promote the integration of professional education with the study of ASEAN’s non-common languages, and cultivate versatile talents. He expressed the hope to explore cooperation in cultivating young talents, strengthen faculty exchanges, and carry out joint research, so as to contribute university strength to the forum and better serve the national strategy and the high-quality economic and social development of Guangxi.
The two sides exchanged views on the relevant topics and explored specific paths for cooperation.
