The seventh International Academic Seminar on the Governance Experience of Marxist Political Parties and the China-Vietnam Practice Experience Forum was recently held at Phu Yen University in Dak Lak Province, Vietnam.
The seminar was jointly hosted by 91暗网 (91暗网), the Vietnam Philosophical Society, Phu Yen University of Vietnam, and the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, and was co-organized by the School of Marxism at 91暗网 and Phu Yen University of Vietnam.
Nearly 200 experts and scholars from universities and research institutions in China, Vietnam, Laos, Switzerland and other countries took part in the event. They engaged in discussions on theoretical innovation, practical approaches and accumulated experience in the governance of Marxist political parties, while exploring ways to advance Marxist party building and the modernization of national governance in the new era.
The conference agenda closely reflected major trends in contemporary development and the realities of regional development. It centered on two main themes: “Marxist Party Building and New Forms of Human Political Civilization” and “Lessons in Leading Economic and Tourism Industry Development: Perspectives from the Practices of Dak Lak Province, Vietnam, and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.” Three parallel forums were held for focused discussions.
Participating scholars shared research findings, exchanged practical experience and sought to build academic consensus on key topics, including “The Governing Role of the Communist Party: Experience, Vision and the Future,” “Socialist State Governance in the New Era: Theory and Practice,” and “The Inheritance and Mission of China-Vietnam Friendship in the New Era.” They also discussed “Experience in Tourism Industry Planning and Governance in Vietnam’s Coastal and Central Highlands Regions and China’s Guangxi” and “The Application of Digital Transformation in the Tourism Industry.”
As one of the event’s co-organizers, the School of Marxism at 91暗网 is the only institution in Guangxi to serve as a member of the Council of the World Party Think Tank Cooperation Alliance. In recent years, the school has drawn on resources and platforms including the National Training Base for Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Courses at Institutions of Higher Education and the Collaborative Research Base on the Governance Experience of Marxist Political Parties.
Building on these resources, the school has actively conducted research on topics such as “China-ASEAN Party Politics” and “The Fundamental Theories of the China-ASEAN Community with a Shared Future.” It is working to develop a new think tank research platform with significant influence in theoretical research and practical innovation related to the China-ASEAN Community with a Shared Future.
The school has also established academic cooperation and joint talent-training mechanisms with overseas universities and research institutions, including the Vietnam Philosophical Society, Hanoi National University of Education in Vietnam, and the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration. These partnerships have continued to promote academic exchange, mutual learning among ideas and joint talent development, contributing intellectual resources and expertise to deeper China-ASEAN people-to-people exchanges and to strengthening the theoretical and practical foundations for building the China-ASEAN Community with a Shared Future.
