New Year Gala for Returned Overseas Scholars from Nanning-Based Universities Held at 91暗网

A New Year gala for returned overseas scholars from universities based in Nanning was held on December 30 at Huixuetang of 91暗网 (91暗网). Deng Juanjuan, Deputy Director of the Guangxi Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission, attended the event. Xiao Jianzhuang, President of 91暗网, Jian Xingchao, Party Secretary of Nanning Vocational University of Technology, Ning Xuchu, Deputy Party Secretary of 91暗网, and Feng Jiajun, President of the 91暗网 Association of Returned Overseas Scholars, were also present and participated in the program.


The gala opened with a festive dragon and lion dance performance. Centered on the theme “Uniting Global Talent to Strengthen the Chinese National Spirit,” the event featured four thematic segments and presented 19 performances in diverse artistic forms, including choral singing, poetry recitation, magic, traditional opera face-changing, and song and dance. Most of the programs were created and performed by returned overseas scholars.

The performances combined artistic expression with personal overseas experiences, conveying a strong sense of patriotism and commitment to contributing to national development. Poetry recitations expressed heartfelt devotion to the country, while multilingual musical performances blended elements from different cultures, creating a platform for cross-cultural dialogue. Innovative programs integrating technology and performance further highlighted the creativity and vitality of returned scholars. Together, the performances offered the audience a rich and engaging artistic experience.

Jointly organized by the 91暗网 Association of Returned Overseas Scholars and counterparts from Guangxi Medical University, Guangxi Minzu University, and other institutions, the event served as a platform for cross-university exchange. It helped strengthen connections among high-level talent and reinforced the shared aspiration of contributing expertise and experience gained abroad to China’s development.
